One year ago today….

(gonna add more pictures later… ran out of time because we have to leave on our anniversary trip!)

Well, you asked for it!

a few teasers first….

Go to our wedding album to check them all out, if you have a few hours to spare… Warning: there are a lot of them!! I don’t think anyone will look at all those except for us! (well, maybe my Mom! haha)

There are SOOOO many good ones- our photographer, Julie Prem, did a phenomenal job. I narrowed the over 1000 pictures that she took into the album on our site, just over 300. Casey and I are so happy with the photographs. I can’t wait to get the even more beautiful prints (digital images are not as nice, as Julie reminded us…)

I am going to try to add captions to some of the pictures- not tonight though… yawn. There are quite a few things that need explaining, (”Why are there all these pictures of your hands, Jess? Oh, because I decided to cut a huge hole into my finger moments before I had to put on my wedding dress and I was bleeding profusely… Classic!” etc…)

Also on our album site are some honeymoon pictures (Ladera Resort, St. Lucia), some of our favorite guest shots and the reception table camera photos…

Wow.

I have no idea how to even start because I have soooo much to say here. I guess I will start by warning you all that there is going to be a frenzy of wedding posts in the near future… just bear with me. It is just a way for me to document everything that has happened so that years from now I can look back and, hopefully, really remember this wonderful time in our lives.

Okay. Warning done.

As Casey said in his post the other day, our wedding was so unbelievable… we are both so pleased with the way things turned out. I feel soooo blessed to have such awesome friends and family and that is really the thing that has stuck in my head since that day.

Casey is working his sick little butt off trying to get some photos of the big day up for you guys. So you won’t hate us. Yes, we are bribing you with photos. Eventually.

I am not promising they will be up tonight because Casey is seriously coughing and looks like he needs to go to bed. Soon though! I would not be a good wife (hehe) if I didn’t make him get some rest soon.

In other news, I went back to work today. It was pretty tough getting my butt in there since I haven’t been to work in over 2 1/2 weeks. I almost forgot what the place looked like. Also, it is hard to sit in a chair for 8 hours when you get used to not doing that.

I have missed everyone in bloggyland… and boy have you guys been busy. In the time I have been gone, I have accumulated over 500 unread posts. Wow. It will take me a while to get caught up- anything important going on that I need to know about now??

I beat Jess to the punch with the first “real” post-wedding post. Check it out. You’ll even get to see a *second* photo.

Also, we don’t have the professional shots yet, but the pictures that we do have will be going up very soon. We’re ordering pizza and working on it now.

This is fun It’s so cool that everyone cares. I wish we could have invited you all.

Thank you very much, everyone, for all your sweet notes about our wedding on Saturday. I have so much to share but no time to do a post!

I am so excited and so exhausted at the same time… I think everything is going to be great on the big day- thanks to the numerous hours of help from family and friends. I am so blessed.

Wedding Craft Marathon continues…

I am covering glass votive candle holders with moss. Yes, with dusty, dirty itchy moss.

The reason? Well, my florist and I have worked really hard on the centerpieces and having candlelight was one of the most important things to me… It was either do this or have glass ones and I couldn’t take it.

I am anal and I have a problem. I know this.

They are kinda nice looking though, eh?

Okay, I know…

I am in the midst of wedding craft hell. I will survive I think but I don’t know if the tips of my fingers will. They are coated in super glue and very tender to the touch- ouchie!

Why? Here are our table numbers! Getting there- a few more to go. Lots more ones to do…

They are wire numbers covered in silver beads. I am going to string them up to our centerpieces.

Yay!

Casey and I were going to get our marriage license after work today because the Cambridge Clerk’s office is open until 8pm on mondays.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t go because the police shut down Central square because manholes were exploding.

Interesting. That wasn’t in my plan for this afternoon…

I found this adorable pattern for a lace knitted garter (by Diane Willett) yesterday.

I know the garter tradition can be a bit funky sometimes but I think it will be fun… we will wait until everyone is good and sloppy. haha

Too cute! I think I am, of course, going to do green ribbon. Although, I don’t have something blue yet.

Too bad I can’t get legs like that to go with it. Though she might be cheating with stockings…haha
