You’re a silly girl.

May 2nd, 2005

The Sephora makeup artist took advantage of me in a very fragile moment! I accidentally spent a week’s salary on makeup.

Makeup

Um yeah.

Julie and I spent hours at the bridal shop this afternoon doing her fitting and my fitting. The woman kept ignoring us and talking on the phone so appointments that should have taken 20 minutes took hours. We were so frustrated and exhausted by the end of it all.

When we got to Sephora for our makeover appointments, it just felt so refreshing to have someone actually nice to us! My makeup artist (Sarah at the Prudential Center store) did an amazing job and I loved all the products she chose.

I will update this entry tomorrow with the stuff she used, if anyone is interested.

Casey was a really understanding too- you know somebody really loves you if he just laughs when you spend that much money on something so silly.

Sigh. I am a ridiculous person.

Not riduculous at all. I too am a sucker for makeup purchases even tho I barely ever actually wear any!

Can’t wait to find out what you actually bought!!

Oh that Casey–what a keeper! It’s great he understands you. I like playing with makeup, too! =)

I did the same thing about a month ago! And I am interested in what products she recommended to you, since I think (from the picture) it looks like the same ones I ended up with. Except I was at the Burlington Store…

    And as my consultant said:
    “Pretty looks good on everyone…”

    Enjoy! :)

    Accidentally! Ha!
You are so beautiful without all that makeup…I’m sure that with it, you’ll look like a million bucks!

i spent about $300 on makeup basics back in december. i have never spent that much on makeup. and that was just because i wanted fancy makeup for a change and not for an event such as a wedding… but my boy was ok with it too. i was really surprised, i had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that he was gonna freak so i wouldn’t tell him what it cost. He snuk a peek at the receipt and then came to me and said “its ok that you spent that much, you are worth it!” and then hugged me. I heart Good Boys! yay!

Ohhh… I can totally relate. Looks like you got some really great stuff! Tell us all about it… [because I need an excuse to buy more makeup!]

It’s so fun getting made-over at those makeup counters. Looks like you’ve got some fun stuff! I’ve never tried Sephora, maybe I’ll have to let them convince me to spend some money :)

Do I see NARS as one of your purchases??? OH YEAH, I DO!!! I LO_OVE Nars… will do just about anything for Nars… My favorite lipstick is Nars Gypsy– and its almost empty… that is one thing I miss about New York… Sephora, and Nars.

Oh lord!!! Duuuuuude, I fell pray to Sephora last September…I got like 2 brushes, two eye shadows and a foundation for like $150!!! I can only IMAGINE how much all that cost you!!!! hee! Hey, you only get married once!!! (and with you two, that’s a sure bet, I think…)

Ohh, Sephora. I love me some Sephora. You are going to be a fairy princess pretty pretty bride. :)

Is it just me? I can’t see the makeup list and I would really love to! I am planning to bankrupt myself with new makeup for my own wedding too. Think of it this way, though: professional makeup application is expensive ($50 and up) and you wash it all off at the end of the day. When you purchase the makeup and do it yourself, you will be using it for months and months afterwards. Totally worth it, in the end.

Okay… it is EASY to do this at Sephora. I pick up a few things and have spent 200.00.

But all of your stuff looks cool! And you deserve it!

Is that the Nars Orgasm blush? I have that too. It is my favorite blush!
