Futile Rage

October 24th, 2006

I tried to get to knitting night tonight but:

Casey was late getting home…
I lost track of time doing dishes, listening to NPR and making dinner…
I realized I was late so was rushing around and burned the crap out of my arm on the toaster…
Ran over to the North End on the scooter, parked it (on the first try, baby!)…
The Vespa’s under-seat storage compartment wouldn’t open, with the scooter lock and my knitting stuck inside…
Jiggled it, pulled it, bounced up and down on the seat (then realized that I had an audience)…
No go.

So I went home. Some things just aren’t meant to be.

Things have been pretty zany lately, huh? I hope this homework stops blocking my path and I get to go to a knitting night soon…

That sounds like what happens to me everytime I try to be on time for something. All except for the parallel parking right on the first try.

I’ve been having some days like that as of late too :/

And I am still envious of your scooter.
