Week in the Sun

February 27th, 2006

We had such a great time in the Dominican Republic this past week. It has been pretty difficult to adjust back to real life so we decided to stay in, be slugs, and delay the shock of reality until tomorrow. We have spent the last two days sitting around and ordering takeout.

Can you blame us? We spent the week in 80 degree temperatures, partying and relaxing. It was great to spend some time with Casey’s family- I feel like we actually hung out and got to know each other as adults for the first time.

Could NOT get a picture of myself with my eyes open. The sun! My poor sun-deprived eyes refused to accept it!

I am smiling for the both of us. ;)

That is me and Casey’s ridiculously tanned and beautiful sisters. I am fine with being the whitest person ever. Really.

We met a group of awesome people early in the week, from Calgary (Alberta, Canada). Here we are with Christine and Amanda. They were so much fun to hang out with and I hope we keep in touch.

I spilled a little coke on my shirt, just in case you were wondering. It wasn’t that big of a stain but I decided it would be more attractive if it covered half my boob, so I dumped water on it. Ah, much better.

The only downside to hanging out with a group of Canadians is that I start talking like one. My mother has the obnoxious/ endearing habit of picking up people’s accents and it seems that I inherited that charming trait. Dammit. What is that all aboot?

We also spent a lot of time taking funny pictures of each other.

That is Casey’s mom behind us, above. tee hee!

So. Fun. :)

i’m just wondering, am i supposed to be seeing little box outlines with text in them instead of images? they link to the pictures, but i wanted to make sure that it wasn’t something on my end.

Jessica, I missed you at the Closing Ceremonies for Team Boston! I still have your pin. Would you like me to send it your way still?! Sorry to be a slacker and not get it out earlier.
