Another Amelia
January 23rd, 2006
I had to take a break from screwing up my retro cardigan (I’ll tell ya later once I can stand even thinking about that damn thing…) and knit up a lining for my “pom pilot” hat.
It is knit with my favorite, Karabella Aurora 8 in Color 20 with a size 8 needle. Amelia Earhart pattern.
Now my ears won’t freeze when the temperature plummets again- wee! (The white hat is cotton and wasn’t keeping the wind out…)

Oh I love that pattern. I’m totally making that hat. It will be a great stashbusting project.

I love it! One day I shall make one. For now, it’s bolero time.

Love that hat – I’ve been admiring that pattern for a few years now but never get around to knitting it. I think it should put it on my (very lengthy) “to knit” list after seeing how it fits on a real person – you don’t seem to have a punkin’ head either (my head is a little on the small side)…

That hat is so awesome. I printed out that pattern a few weeks ago and hope to knit up one for me before the Knitting Olympics start. Can hardly wait to hear more about the retro cardigan. I love the yarn you chose for it.

I love that hat! You look very flapperesque in it. It makes me think of those old-fashioned soft helmets that men and women wore in the twenties and thirties when they were out “motoring” or even flying around in airplanes!
