Another Hat!

In the midst of the Christmas rush, I fell in love with this hat that I saw in the winter issue of Interweave, in the article about the designer Veronik Avery.
I probably will not look cute in it because I have no hair to cascade out of it like the pretty model but I ordered the yarn (Ami Ami’s Faith) anyway.
Isn’t it beautiful?
To my surprise, when I received the yarn they also sent me all of their color cards! Good grief! This is dangerous!

That yarn is a great color for you, and the hat is so pretty, I was just looking at it last night while re-reading my IK. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

It stinks trying to find a good ’short hair’ hat huh! Everytime I think I have found a good one to knit it lets me down. Hope this one works out well for you. Plus you look so cute in hats!!

I love that hat too. I don’t think I’m ambitious enough to make it right now, though. Still, I can’t wait to see those color cards!

I love the hat! Love it! AND the yarn!
The hat reminds me of the Danica scarf at Knitty! Which makes me think of the man wearing the Danica scarf at Knitty.
I can’t wait to see photos of your finished project!

I love the hat (and so does Randy) and printed out the pattern. I’m super intimidated by the pattern though :/
Let me know how it turns out. And be sure to take a picture of it with the green cardigan. Overkill? Perhaps. Ha ha!

Hi! Found your blog totally by accident (thanks Google) and I must have the same issue of interweave! I so want to make that hat!! Oh and now I see your cardy almost finished I want that too!!!! (Looks good without the collar!)

Hi - I’m a “semi-lurker” - wandered over here from Carrie-oke. I love this hat too but hadn’t even thought about ordering the “real” yarn - I had selected it as one of my options for the Knitting Olympics. Your good experience with ordering the yarn convinced me. I just ordered the ami yarn in another colorway (maybe I’ll score on the color card too!)
I’m not too good about keeping good pictures posted on my very-new blog but I look forward to seeing your progress on your hat. Great blog too!
