Pie baking day, huh? Sound like a nice tradition. I used to try and get some friends together every year at Christmas time to make cookies, but it just never stuck. It usually just ended up being me!

I bet it *was* nice to not have to split up this year :)

Oh my gosh! I read Casey's post and . . . I was in Portsmouth too! My husband and I were visiting my grandparents who live about a mile outside of the town. I love it there - we spent Friday walking around the town - so quaint! Like you, for most of the time I was huddled by the fire with my knitting (and wine - keeps you warm, right?)

Sounds like a fun time! Pie Baking Day sounds like a yummy time. Jacob's mom and aunts have the day after Thanksgiving tradition of getting up SUPER early to shop. I did not particpate this year!!!

We are in the same predicament with our soon to be gotten tree. I want it in a new spot but we'll have to loose some furniture for it to happen.
Glad you got to spend the holiday with your hubby!

18 PIES??? Wow. And look at Casey helping! Adorable. Glad to hear you guys had a good holiday weekend, and that you were able to spend it together. I WISH it was cold enough here to wear winter clothes. :(

Good times! I'm glad you had fun - I wish my thanksgiving had included pink drinks in martini glasses. :-)

18 pies! Wow! Ya'll likes the mighty ol' pie.
And as for a beverage holder, yes, that is a must. Try putting a beverage in your sneaker on the floor. It's ghetto, but very functional.
