My. Dear. God.

September 13th, 2005

I am, at this very moment, watching the new Martha Stewart show on TLC.

It is impossible for me to turn it off- it is so absurd! During the intro, they showed her getting out of jail and posing with pictures of herself. Wowee.

Everyone in the audience is wearing ponchos- even the poor men.. they are really horribly ugly. (sorry to crocheted poncho lovers!)

Lily Chin is on at the beginning of the show, showing off how fast she can crochet and talk. Is she scary or is it just me? It was stressing me out just watching her!

Martha is now showing David Spade the recipes she developed in prison, using plastic knives and a microwave.

bwahahahaha!!

Did you see the part where she was having a grand old time with Elmo (who was wearing a poncho. And so was a dog. Why was a dog wearing a poncho?)?
SHE IS A 62 YEAR OLD WOMAN.
SHE WAS TALKING TO A PUPPET AS IF HE WAS HER BEST FRIEND.
To give her credit, you could kind of see the “What in the hell are my producers thinking?!” look in her eye.

WOW! Sorry I missed it. I caught Lily on Knitty Gritty and she’s been the only guest so far that kept my interest and that the host didn’t rush too much. Lily probably would have put her in her place. :)

I also caught the show today. A cheese grater made from a sardine can? That was bizarre but ingenious. The ponchos were UGLY and I agree with you about Lily.

Yikes, I’m frightened by the idea but a little sad I missed it.

That sounds so incredibly dreadful. I’m oh-so-thankful that I live in a 3 channel universe.

I caught a little at the end and kinda wish I’d seen the prison montage! Dogs in ponchos are nuts, but Elmo in a poncho is cute. I felt terrible for those men in the audience, tho. Once of their ponchos was lavendar …

Manchos?!?!?! I need to see this…now that I finally have cable, maybe I will catch it someday.

  8. Stacey Says:

Hmmm. hope there’s reruns. I think I need to see this train wreck.

You have just defined why I don’t watch TV. Can’t bear it. Other countries must think we are so stupid.

I love you for saying Lily Chin is scary. She is so SCARY.

Dude. I met Lilly Chin at Stitches and she is way freaky. As in, she was so peppy that she must have been coked up or SOMETHING!
