Julie’s Shower- check!
Here are some pictures from the shower that I threw my friend, Julie, on Saturday. (click to make them bigger)
I am pretty happy with the way it went… especially proud of the favors I put together. There is a candle, some pumpkin cookies (with recipe) and these little hand/ pocket warmers that Maya helped me make. It is so great to have her in town now! (Not just because she saves the day with my sewing projects!)
Aren’t they cute? I got the idea from Martha’s “good things” site, here.
Casey was such a huge help. I really couldn’t have done it without him. He was the bartender, waiter, cook, dj, photographer…
Julie was happy with the shower, which is the important thing. (despite being disappointed that some people were not able to attend…)
I am off to New Hampshire to go to her dress fitting appointment. It is great to have her nearby, at least for a little while! [She lives in Germany now, for newcomers

it turned out great! So classy. And you found some baskets – that’s good too.
Did you have enough tule (or however you spell that)???

SUPER cute, Jessica. You’re a crafting rockstar. That’s what got me doing The Walrus…too much DIY want-to-do once our wedding had passed!

Martha Stewart should be reading your site…you are so crafty. And CLASSY. (’cause sometimes crafty can be bad if there ain’t no class to go along with it, ya know?)
Julie is one lucky bride!

i am so glad to hear that you and your friends are having these meaningful, low key, DIY showers! thats always how its been done in my family… but lately i have been going to or hearing of showers for people held in big fancy banquet halls with hardly a hands on touch because folks are so concerned about showing off! gah! its driving me nuts! yay for you guys!!!! you all rock!

Is it wrong that I am excited and think the shower was fabulous simply because I see pumpkins?! I love pumpkins…they’re *so* fall.
