Weekend at Squam

August 7th, 2005

Just got home from a lovely weekend on Squam Lake in New Hampshire.

That may have been after at least one glass of champagne. :)

I also got to visit here:

Oh yes! It turns out that Patternworks just happens to be a 5 minute drive from Casey’s aunt and uncle’s house.

I’ll take some pics of my modest haul for tomorrow’s post. OOOOH.

I hate to rub it in but not having my typical Sunday depression is just awesome. Tomorrow starts my fabulous new life… yahoo!

Saying goodbye to the Sunday blues is a GOOD thing :) Looks like you had a wonderful weekend.

  2. Chrissie Says:

You look so happy! I’m sure the bubbly helped, but like amy said, it’s good to not have to deal with the Sunday blues.

Looks beautiful!! Congratulations on your new freedom! I totally understand the Sunday depression – it happens around 6pm every Sunday when I realize my weekend is almost over!

  4. Kate Says:

You make a lovely “stay at home wife” :-) Ha, Ha, so happy for you and your new freedom!!

What a great weekend for being on the lake, we were out on the boat all weekend, the weather was perfection. Enjoy your “frecklegirl” time!!

How relaxed and beautiful you look with your glass of champagne. No Sunday Blues does a body good, doesn’t it? I am in the process of a transistion myself, but I doubt I’ll get some time off in between.

Have a great, relaxing week w/o work!

  7. Vicki Says:

Champagne is the best way to celebrate your new life. I bet you are having a GREAT day today (it’s Monday). You are going to live SO much longer because of leaving that place!

You were here?! If I had only known . . . *sigh* but then I’m going to be in your neck of the woods soon, too . . . wasn’t the weather go-go-geous?

  10. Carrie Says:

And how is the first day of freedom?!?! So happy for you!

  11. Stacey Says:

    What exactly *is* Patternworks?

  12. Maya Says:

Looks like a beautiful little break. :-)

Patternworks started sending me their catalog out of the blue one day. Before I got it in the mail, I had no idea such a huge yarn/knitting catalog existed.

  13. Irene Says:

Since you seem to love yarn so much, have you ever thought of spinning your own?
