Want!
I have been put on a shopping moratorium (because we are trying to put our extra pennies toward the wedding for the next month, of course)… and because of that I keep seeing things that I want to buy.
The horror- I am such an American consumer!! gah!
I went to the American Apparel store today on Newbury Street… very bad move.
I tried on a couple things, thinking that there is no way that I would find pants that I felt good in. I tried on these yoga pants- skin tight yoga pants.
Would you believe that I felt pretty in a pair of skin tight pants?! I did! It made me want to run to yoga class! Okay, they were black but still!
I tried it on with that cute little tee- in bright pink. I feel pretty! Cute little sleeves…
I also liked this ruffled skirt and want it in a million colors.
Perfect honeymoon skirt, non?
wah. Being mature sucks.

Hi Frecklegirl! I’ve been reading your blog lately so that I can figure out what all the Athens girls are talking about. Well, now I read it because it’s so entertaining.
Anyway, your Newbury Street (non)shopping spree inspired me to comment. I miss Newbury Street SO much. When I was in Boston my Sunday tradition was to walk the length of the street and stop in at the Trident Bookstore Cafe for breakfast. There’s nothing like it here… You should treat yourself to a couple of things for the honeymoon. I felt really guilty about it until I got to the Caribbean and then I was *so* glad that I had some cute new things.

I LOVE American apparel. I have at least four of their shirts and I often visit their website. I will definitely be visiting their stores in the US, but I don’t think I’ll be able to show as much restraint as you!!!

I just discovered American Apparel a few months ago when I was looking for maternity clothes. No, they don’t sell maternity clothes, but everything is so soft and stretchy that if I buy the L and XL sizes (usually wear S and M) the clothes are still clingy where I still have a figure but stretch plenty to accomodate my belly. Don’t end up looking like a shapeless cow which usually happens with traditional maternity cloths. 7 months and they still fit! So many great colors.
You’re a big girl for resisiting the temptation.

Jess, why are you torturing yourself? Trying on clothes that you want but don’t want to purchase? That’s like going into a chocolate shop when you’re on a diet, just for the smell.

It’s all so cute! Darn budgets! We know where you’ll be when you get all that wedding present money though

They have such great stuff…and it feels to good, but it’s too expensive. I guess I’m just too cheap. ; )

Ooh…I love that place! I, so far, only own t-shirts, and they rock. Especially the nice, thin ones. I hate budgets too, but just think of all of the nice dinners you’ll have on the ‘moon!

You HAVE to have something to wear on your honeymoon. Those are such cute outfits. And ANY pants that make you feel skinny are not an indulgence, they are a necessity. They are necessary in every color.

You NEED honeymoon clothes. You can’t just take any old thing on your honeymoon! If you can afford it, I say splurge on a few items you will enjoy bringing with you.

Mature? Ha! It’s all about denial baby!
I like the yoga top a bunch! I have a bad habit of hitting Blue Canoe for my yoga clothes - which I totally can not afford! You tried them on and didn’t buy?! Wow, I am impressed.
But the honeymoon skirt… you NEED honeymoon clothes. In EVERY COLOR!

You must have honeymoon clothes! Can’t you spend some money on the assumption you will probably get some cash as wedding gifts?

Ooh, I love American Apparel. How is possible that everything they sell is soooo soft?!
