Bringing it down a smidge…

May 24th, 2005

So I have been thinking about my post yesterday and I think it was a little obnoxious.

I mean, anyone who has read my blog before knows that Casey and I looove each other. A lot.

Then I am like, “My boy loves me! LALALALA!”

Anyway, it was a little overboard and I wanted to acknowledge that. The end.

I mentioned that I bought some yarn the other day when we were out in western Mass doing some stuff for the wedding (in one month from tomorrow if anyone is counting !! and I am !!)

I am going to post it real big so that you can see its beautiful-ness even if you are too lazy to click on the darn picture.

Manos

It is Manos de Uruguay, of course. (The green is color 70 and variegated is 116.)

Anyone have any ideas for projects that are worthy? Maybe a felted bag? Anyone?

Okay, I am still feeling like crap so I am going to bed.

I teach with a bunch of women who spend their days putting down their husbands and complaining! It nice to hear some happy talk! Jane

Shout it loud and proud, my friend! You’re expressing and sharing the love and joy in your life. Why is that obnoxious? I think it’s wonderful!

I agree, it is nice to hear of two people so in love. That is so rare nowadays. Keep bragging about you and Casey, we don’t mind a bit. Love the yarn, beautiful colors. No idea on a project, how about just leaving it out as a decoration.

We love you guys, and you are SO. NOT. obnoxious. I agree with the other comments – it is rare to see two people who are so obviously happy and in love, so shout it out, girl!

  5. Jen S. Says:

Oh yeah – don’t worry about it. Obviously Casey’s willing to tell the whole world about you with a tattoo so why shouldn’t you do the same through your blog?
    :)

please– don’t stop with the mush! I mean, you DID read my blog last friday didn’t you??? It doesn’t get much worse than that! I think its GREAT that you guys love each other so fiercely.

Your post was not obnoxious. I think it is really amazing to see two people so happy. I agree with all the other comments, you have every reason to be proud of what you and Casey share, don’t hide it!

I think it was completely un-obnoxious and great that you want to share it with the world. Love is wonderful! Plus, a tatoo that big (and a portrait of you, no less) is a big deal!

Also, love the yarn. Manos is my favorite…

as a lurker (mostly) on your blog, i have to say: do NOT apologize – it’s very sweet to see two people who clearly care strongly about one another.

as for the yarn…it’s gorgeous! and i have no ideas what to do with it. :)

I loved your overboardness so much I checked out your boy’s blog. I think it’s so sweet! I guess ‘knowing’ you and the type of person that you seem to be, it wasn’t obnoxious at all. It was cute and loving and excited. I love that you two are in love and are about to commit the rest of your lives to each other. If only we could all be so lucky so young!

Those colors are so freakin’ beautiful! I love them! Whatever you make will be fab!

You’re so cute! There’s nothing at all wrong about a girl so in love with her guy that she wants to shout it from the rooftops every chance she gets. Everyone should be so lucky. (I’ve got a pretty damn incredible guy myself, too!)

  14. Jenni Says:

Happy talk is great!! And the tat looks really, really good. Yay!

It actually is an acomplishment to find your soulmate- not obnoxious at all. Only smiles. You are such a green girl huh? It’s cute. The yarn matches ur site:-) Cant wait to see it knit up.

Oh, come on! Overboard is good, especially when tattoos are involved!

I sent the link to my SO, who replied “OUCH!” Seems to me like I’d have to get a tattoo of HIM if I want to proclaim my love in bodyart. :)
