Brain = Mush

March 29th, 2005

I hate wedding websites.

I’ve spent the last 3 hours looking for short wedding hairstyles. Doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult, huh? Lots of girls have short hair!

I found ONE that I like:

Shortweddinghair

I am so frustrated I could spit.

Mom and I are going to the spa at Cranwell on Saturday to do our hair and makeup trials. I wanted to have some idea of what I liked but apparently that is not going to happen!

sorry,

wedding wedding wedding

blah blah blah

Just have your hair down. It would be a sleek & sophisticated bob kind of look.

  3. kat Says:

You will look beautiful regardless. I agree that going simple, sophisticated with maybe we a few cute adornments is best BUT it’s your wedding so you can do what you want.

  4. Loody Says:

oh no! i wish i was there so we could play hair dress up!

you will find something beautiful - because you are beautiful.

and that’s all i have to say about that.

    I likey!

I had short-ish hair when I got married as well…I went simple. I did wear a veil-short and just at the back. At the reception I wore a thin headband with little rhinestones (I know sounds cheesy)-but there was just enough sparkle. Have fun…hair stylists are amazing people when it comes to this!

  7. Maya Says:

I’ll have to find a pic to send you of my best friends hair at her wedding - it’s was short-ish and really cute. Hm…

I am going thru the same thing…only I am the Matron of Honor (after a child, you’re the MATRON - ew!) in my best bud’s wedding..I have super short hair. I will keep my eyes peeled for your choices…Are you getting excited?

    Enjoy! ;)

My hair was pretty short for Cat’s wedding and they put rollers in it and made it all fancy. I know you will find something mah-velous. I like the one you found!

P.S. You can talk about the wedding all you want - we love it!

P.S. again - Frecklebrother makes me laugh.

Girl, didn’t you know that that was the original purpose of the veil? You know, to hide the hair in case it was too puffy or something. I think you should slick it back a-la Jackie-O or wear it down. But I agree with everyone else that it will be FABULOUS! It’s just a question of which style of fabulousness it will be. And talk about the wedding all you want. I love it.

  11. Giao Says:

Your hair WILL be fab! I have seen a few great photos of shorter-haired brides (mostly on photog and makeup artist sites) who looked tres cool. I do like the pic you posted, but I have fait the right thing will pop up when you’re not even looking (I’ll see if I can find some…).

Also, I love all the wedding talk. But you already knew that. =)

  12. ani Says:

I had to grow out my short hair because I wanted an updo.

  13. samantha Says:

don’t worry! If you really want your hair to be UP, then the hairstylist can make it happen. That is why they are paid the big bucks! I think you would look gorgeous with your hair slicked back tight, especially with your dress - you are getting tons of advice here but we all know you will be gorgeous and lovely.

  14. bluepoppy Says:

oh you will be gorgeous regardless!! lots of good suggestions here in the comments– go with a fab tiara or the hairstylist will surely have lots of ideas, too— don’t worry!

I kept myself up for an hour last night after going to bed thinking of all the wedding stuff I have left to do. Hairstyle was one of them. Ugh!

But I’m sure you’ll know better what you want after the trial run!

    :)

  16. mipmup Says:

me likey! (ps a trial is a very smart idea.)

hi! i just came upon your blog accidentally (a one link leads to another sorta thing). I’m enjoying reading (also a knitter, etc). anyway, my mom and i went to cranwell for the first time last weekend, and it was so great. have a wonderful time — i know i’ll be back!

  18. Snidget Says:

I like that hairstyle a lot! It’s supercute with the flowers weaved in.

  19. Stacey Says:

Love the hairstyle. Too cute :) But wearing it down and sleek would be good too :) Unless that’s just too “everyday” for you.

Look at at the new people commenting! Good thing too…they’re making up for my absence :/ Busy busy with school and work….

HELP! I COMPLETELY feel your pain! My hair is super short (like on my head short) and I only have 4 months to get it long enough to do anything - since there is NOTHING I can find for short hair that will hold a veil! My hairdresser is guessing I might get about 2 more inches in length by the wedding - but even at that length I cant come up with anything - anyone with ideas, HELP! I’m desperate!!!
    ;o)
