I didn’t know Matthew Broderick had it in him! I have studied the civil war a bit but this movie really touched me in a different way.

We had to watch that in 10th grade. One of the only good movies ever viewed in High School. YOu should see “Election” - it is Matthew Broderick at his finest.

It’s all about Denzel for me. I went to school with a guy who said the only time he had cried at a movie was when he watched Glory and Denzel had a single tear roll down his cheek when he was being whipped. That man is one amazig actor.

Exactly… that part was incredible.
I mean, you expect Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington to be amazing but Matthew Broderick?

We watched that in 11th grade history too and since it was an R rated movie, we all had to get permission slips. I remember people who didn’t get it signed had to go sit in the library instead of watching the movie - I felt bad for them. they were totally missing out.

I haven’t seen it…but I just know I would have a hard time not looking at him and thinking “Ferris”.
