Almost there!
With all these snow days, I have made some great progress on my Grace cabled cardigan. I absolutely love this project. I am praying that it ends up being as beautiful once it is finished as it is in pieces!
I think I forgot to mention what kind of yarn I am using. It is Karabella Yarn‘s “aurora 8″ in color 22, a charcoal gray. The yarn is so squishy and lovely to work with. It also makes the cables pop!
Here is the body of the sweater:
I think if I have enough yarn, I actually might make it a bit longer. I am trying to figure out a way to knit the decreased shaped section (for the armholes), in order to make the body longer. We’ll see how I do.
Here are the sleeves. I decided to knit them both at the same time so that they will be identical. I have made the mistake in the past (hi, green sweater in my drawer!) of knitting the sleeves separately and then I forgot what I did with the first sleeve.
Okay, I gotta go knit some more. I can see the end and I am psyched!
Pray that I don’t screw this up! I might not be brave enough to try another sweater if I do.

You’re looking good with that sweater! I’ve had a bad sweater experience in my past, but I’m braving sweater #2 anyway. BTW, I’m glad I didn’t have to go to Boston today. I hear you guys got more snow! Sucky!

Sorry..I’ve been MIA lately :/
I am super impressed with your sweater and hope it works out for you. And I know what you mean about the squishyness of the yarn, I think I used that for a friends scarf a while back! I loved it!

So pretty! Pretty, pretty, pretty!
As for finishing, keep the faith. My experience has been that cardigan type sweaters are a bit easier to finish well than regular type sweaters. I will be sending you happy stitching vibes…

I’m a little bit behind you with Grace. I’ve started the left front and it is going fast. I love the way yours looks! I’m using LB Cotton Ease in lavender. Did you do that funky two diff needles on the fronts? I am trying it out, using #8 straights, and #7 circular. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be, and I can see the difference in row gauge between the two sections.
Can’t wait to see your finished sweater!!
