Christmas Preparation
I said goodbye to my Casey and drove down to New Jersey yesterday. He is spending Christmas with his family up in New Hampshire.
My trip was incredibly rainy- sometimes my windshield wipers couldn’t even keep up with it! It took me 7 hours instead of the usual 5… I was definitely happy to arrive home.
Today has been a rush to get our Christmas tree, doing some last minute shopping and wrapping presents. It seems like there is always something that you forget the first 10 shopping trips.
Here are some pictures of the family tree extravaganza this morning:
My poor mother is making a weird face and my brother put his baseball cap on her head. I hope she doesn’t find out that I posted that picture. hehe
Here is one of my dad enjoying nature. Our tree came with a little bonus gift.
Here is a great one of Kyle cutting down the tree. He is having a great time.
Then my dad made me hold the tree so we could pretend that, “I actually contributed to the tree collection process.” What a comedian.
Well, I am going to go watch my favorite Christmas movies, A Christmas Carol- the original black and white, Alastair Sim version. It is another of our family’s Christmas traditions. We always watch that movie on Christmas eve. I love it! He is the best Scrooge.
Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas eve! Special Christmas hugs to all of you!
(I miss you, Casey!)

Hey girl…love you family photos!
I’m here in the boonies of Maine at my Mom’s and we just looked at your knitting album. I’ve got to make one of those martini ponchos! Can you let me know where the pattern came from? LOL
Merry Freakin’ Christmas!
