Shopping Accident

We went to the mall today. I know, we are completely out of our minds!

It turned out not to be that crowded actually. I was really surprised…

I went to look for a couple things for Casey and to help my mom out with her shopping. My mother abhors shopping so this time of year is extremely stressful for her. I am trying to do some of her stuff here because I don’t think I will make it home until the 23rd.

I was wandering through the stores at the Cambridgeside Galleria (mall) and there were some great things on sale. So what did I buy? Um… Well, here is a list, with my excuse for buying it in parentheses:

- two sweaters for me from the Gap (I had a gift certificate left over from my birthday… and they were cute and cabled!)

- one present for Casey

- two boxes of holiday cards (20% off at Borders and I have this silly idea that I still have time to send a few…)

- two presents for my brother

- one bridal magazine (I am a sick puppy. Damn bridal magazines!)

So, that is it. 4 hours later and I ended up buying more for myself than other people. Nice.

A cabled sweater from the Gap? I just bought one recently there too. We may have the same one ;) And I end up doing more shopping for myself than anyone else usually too.

The Galleria is sensory overload! I won’t even dare visiting it during the holidays! You are either very brave or very crazy. ;)

It’s the “Season of Giving”. No one said that doesn’t include giving to yourself :) Enjoy your new stuff!

I can relate: Yesterday I went to the mall and EVERYTHING was on sale! So while finishing up my holiday shopping, I also bought for myself:

    New wallet
    New belt
Cute notebook with initial “C” on every page (for “C”olleen)
Book I’ve been looking at for a while
Two sweaters and a shirt at Old Navy

Really, I needed everything, so why wait to buy them later if I could save $$ now. At least that’s my logic. :0)

I’m with MissFitsandStarts and her one for one rule, but I would add that I reserve the right to decide to keep (for myself) some of the things that I buy for others too.

And you HAVE to buy bridal magazines…it’s cultural, it’s genetic, it keeps the economy going…

I’m a one-for-you-one-for-me type too. Even when it’s online shopping!

And the bridal mags…totally necessary for the bride. =)

You totally scored!!! Brave of you and Casey to brave it out this past Sunday. My hubby and I went on Sunday. Not too bad either!

You went to the Galleria, eh? Did you have to dodge the bullets? Maybe thats why it wasn’t so crowded?

Bridal magazines are addictive! There should be a support group…
