November 30th, 2004

I have been watching Love Actually tonight.

I admit that I like this movie- it is quite cute and give me a happy warm feeling inside my tummy.

Casey, on the other hand, is “reading his book” and “not watching the movie.” Except that I keep catching him with his eyes on the screen. Occasionally, I also hear a little giggle that turns into a grunt.

“I like that part where they are trying to rescue the book and they are talking to each other in different languages. Except… I don’t like this movie. Ahem.”

Riiiiight. :)

Ha! Ha! I recently watched that one and yes it was very sweet (albeit unbelievable). You know I hated Hugh Grant until I saw him shirtless in Notting Hill and then I thought – whoa I better give this guy a second chance!!

Darin was also ‘on his computer’ while the movie was on – just listening mind you as he’d never want to succumb to a girl movie. You know what though – he loved Billy Elliot – go figure!!

I’ve been wanting to see that. I noticed it’s on On Demand. My boyfriend is like that with General Hospital. He makes fun of me only to pipe up with, “So wait–she’s married to that guy’s brother, right?”

Randy bought me that movie for my birthday. And he suggested we watch it the other night. He likes it :)

Once again, (just like Bridget Jones), how can you not like a movie with Hugh Grant and Colin Firth?!

I love, love, love that movie! I was watching it on HBO last night too! I am a sucker for cheesey movies where people fall in love. I watch Two Weeks Notice every time it’s on.

Chris pretends not to watch the Gilmore Girls with me, but when I’m not home and the Tivo “tivo’s” it, he watches it as it records! His secret is out!

I watched that on Demand last night and I must have rewound it about 5 times to see Hugh Grant dance around to the Pointer sisters. It just makes me giggle uncontrollably.

That’s such a feel-good movie. I love the Colin Firth character.

I have that saved on my DVR, thanks for reminding me that I need to watch it! That’s a great movie!

Casey is so cute! I ruined my hubby for girly movies when we went to the movies to see Ya-Ya Sisterhood. There were some eager movie-goers who “particiated” in the movie by clapping and giving it a standing O. Boys just don’t understand such things sometimes. Now, he thinks I owe him like 100 sports, action, and suspense movies.

Oooh, I love that movie! Even Monkey loved it, and he is a boy! You can tell Casey it’s ok! =)

  10. Rossana Says:

Oh yeah, he likes the movie!
I also love re-watching Sweet Home Alabama, You’ve Got Mail, and other such yummy, sappy movies. Mmmm! To curl up on the couch with a mug of hot tea or hot cocoa and maybe some knitting and maybe a puppy or a kitty….dreamy!

I SO want to see that movie. I never get around to renting movies let alone going to the theater. And when I can convince my bf to go it’s only to see a movie we both can enjoy (eg. no chick flicks).

I too enjoyed Love Actually. Brilliant movie!

I am the only person I know who didn’t really like that movie, yeesh. Even my hard-core “film” (not movie) buff brother liked it(that might be a secret).Maybe I should give it another look.

I *love* that movie – I made about 20 people watch it at my last birthday party…the romantic-comedy birthday perogative!

  15. Louise Says:

I actually own that movie– but have only seen it once, because I loaned (lent?) it to my friend back MONTHS ago, and she hasn’t returned it yet. I like when Hugh’s character tells the fake President (Billy Bob Thornton?) that his administration isn’t going to just bow down and do whatever they said like the previous prime minister had.

My hubby actually did watch with me (not pretending not too), and decided that it was “pretty good for a chick movie.”

For me, it’s all about Colin Firth. Drool…
