Weekend Activities

November 7th, 2004

As I said yesterday, I made a decision about my wedding gown. :)

My mom and my aunt Helen came to town to go shopping with me. I was pretty sure that I had found the dress a couple weeks ago so I wanted to show it to my mom and get her opinion.

So, we went to L’Elite on Newbury Street and I tried the dress on again. I got all settled and turned around to see what my mom and aunt thought of it. They both were crying. It is a winner! :)

I tried on a bunch of others, just for contrast, and they didn’t cry at any except the one that I liked.

Very fun. So, I couldn’t take any pictures then but I will get some up here sometime this week. (They don’t let you take any until you have actually bought it- gah…)

Here are some pictures of us on Saturday. It was great to see them and I was so happy that they confirmed my decision. yay!

    I had no idea they wouldn’t let you take pictures till you actually purchase the dress. You learn something new everyday….

    yes, I remember those signs, and I always think, what is THE POINT? Bridal shops can be utterly snooty. It makes me want to start my own where everything is very laid back and for the non prissy pants bride.

    but WOOHOOO for you finding your wedding dress!

    Congratulations on the dress. I’m practically teary eyed just imagining the scene at the dress shop! I bet it was a great day.
