Happy Fish

October 20th, 2004

Well, I guess it is pet week here at Frecklegirl. :)

Casey cleaned Vinnie’s tank today and, boy, is that fish happy. I was trying to take his picture but he kept getting all excited and most of them were blurry.

I got him once though:

We are trying to be better about making dinner at home. I made some pasta with vegetables tonight and it wasn’t that good. Oh well. It filled our bellies! Casey did a much better job yesterday- he made some yummy chicken with a port sauce, some crunchy green beans with garlic, and couscous. I think food tastes better when you don’t have to cook it yourself. haha

Tomorrow I am going to go wedding gown shopping with my friend, Julie. I feel like a need to get started on it because even though we are not getting married until June, it is one of the first things you need to take care of. They tell you that it can take up to six months to get your dress and then you need to do fittings, etc. I don’t know if that is true but dress shopping is fun so why not start now! :)

If you are interested, I will post links to the dresses that I like so far in the extended entry. (MISTER CASEY IS NOT ALLOWED!)

Here is dress one. (That is my favorite so far.)

Dress two. (pretty buttons and profile)

Dress three. (love the ribbon!)

**UPDATE 10/21: The lovely Jackie let me know that you cannot see the pictures on theknot unless you have registered. Duh, I am a goober.

So- here are the three dresses with direct photo links:

Oh no!!! Can’t see the dresses! Just end up at the Knot login screen. :(

I’m sure you’ll look beautiful in whatever you choose.

They are all beautiful!!! I do like the ribbon on the last one. I am looking online for dresses, but it’s hard to know what suits you unless you try them on. HAVE FUN!!! I’ll be going dress shopping in a week in Brisbane, Australia (my hometown) - can’t wait!

Oh, the dresses are beautiful! I thought I’d want something sleek like what you picked…Then I tried on poufy dresses and I was hooked. Email me if you want to see a pic of the poufy dress!

I am totally not a poufy type girl, but things can look different on you than they do in pictures. Try on lots and good luck!

It has to be the first one. It is sleek and fashionable but also timeless. You don’t want the pictures to look dated.

Number 1 is sooo pretty ;) Are you leaning towards any one of them?

  8. Giao Says:

Oh my, I lurve wedding dress gazing. They are all so pretty! You are going to be such a beautiful, delicate little bride. Yay!

Oh I love them all but number 1 is definitely my favourite. Could Julie take surreptitious photos of you trying them on or would that be too naughty -especially with curious Casey around!

I loved the gown that Reece Witherspoon wore in Sweet Home Alabama (although I did just see the movie so maybe it’s just fresh in my mind :-) )

I also love number one. It’s really pretty and unique, but not too funky, and it’s quite elegant. When I was dress shopping I looked a lot on-line but then found the style I liked didn’t flatter as much as others. Also the dress I loved was waaay out of my price range and had to be ordered from another country. I love what I ended up with, but I still love my first “dream” dress. Can’t wait to hear about your weekened excursion! It’s good that you have plenty of time because it can also be a lot of work looking at dresses. Oh, yes, it is fun work though! :)

They are all so beautiful! How in the hell will you pick? They have different themes though. Like, 1 is victorian-esc, 2 is really Jackie-0 and classy, and 3 is king arthurish. I love them all. I of course would pick the one that made me look the skinniest and my boobs look the highest, but I don’t think you are as shallow or saggy chested as me!
