I feel like it has been ages since I have been able to sit and do what I want. I have been so busy lately- between work and wedding planning…yikes. You can tell that we have been stretched a bit thin by the state of our apartment too. I have a week’s worth of clothes sitting on a chair (very pretty) and our kitchen is full of dirty dishes. We have a hamper of dirty laundry and piles of wedding magazines and misc crap all over the living room table. (But my sweetie did clean the toilet so it is not a health hazard or anything anymore! hehe)

So the mess is haunting me but I feel like I only have a small amount of time before it is bed-time and then work-time (gah- again).

So, I am plugging my ears and going, “lalalala”

I got to read some of my favorite blogs- hi guys! FINALLY. Last week at work was nutty- we got a ton more applications to study abroad in the spring- about 70 more than usual. (which is a big deal because we are a pretty small school) So this week is going to be completely stressful because we need to process all of those applications and get the students answers by the end of the week.

But that is tomorrow- LALALALA

Anyway- I am glad that I have a little bit of time to update here. I feel like my posts lately have been random blurts on the page and not much real content. Things will be better in a week or so and I can have my life back!

We had a nice weekend though. Today, we talked some more about the wedding location that we saw yesterday. Casey did a budget for us, with some help from my fabulous best friend, Julie. The budget is a bit out of control right now- about $15,000 more than we wanted to spend!! Yikes! We need to do some more reflecting but don’t think that doing it elsewhere will cut down the costs that much. It is just really expensive to have a sit-down dinner, etc.

So, decision is mostly made. I think we are going with Cranwell. I think we can do a lot with the space to make it really beautiful and special. We are both excited.

Also, Casey talked with his family a bit today about helping with expenses for the wedding. I am so glad, even though it was not the easiest thing for him to do. We are both concerned about how much money we can realistically save on our own and don’t want to bankrupt my parents. (who are being super generous but don’t have that much money!)

Anyway, enough wedding stuff. (I promise this won’t turn into a wedding blog.)

We were totally exhausted from our running around yesterday so today we took it easy.

It was Oktoberfest in Harvard Square and we went down to see Mieka Pauley play at 1pm. She played a ton of new songs and did an awesome job drawing a crowd. We even picked up her new demo cd- yay!

I pretended I was a stalker (pretended? haha) and took a bunch of pictures. Here are a couple:

Then, because that was sooo strenuous, we came back and took a nap. (loads of laundry, dishes…lalalala) I was giggling at Casey’s hair when he woke up.
