The Good Stuff

September 1st, 2004

Another crazy day!

Two students who work in our office came back today. They both studied abroad for the spring semester, one in Israel and the other in South Africa. Both girls have such positive energy that it almost knocks you over. They both had amazing, life-changing experiences abroad and I can’t wait to talk to them more about what they did.

They also noticed my engagement ring and completely flipped out when they saw it. It was completely overwhelming and wonderful. Everyone heard the screaming and came running out of their offices. They are adorable but I didn’t know what to do so I just stood there and smiled. haha I am so glad they are back!

On the train, I totally lucked out and didn’t have to pay for my ticket back home. woohoo! There were two guys taking tickets and they met right where I was and must have gotten distracted. I feel a twinge of guilt about it but there have been days that I have forgotten my pass or something and then paid for a ticket. Maybe it works out?!

Today, since it is the 1st of the month, is the first time in 3 years that I am not buying a pass for the train. It is not worth it to pay that much for a pass that I only am using one way. Casey has been bringing me to work in the morning.

Going to see Kyle (my brother or as he writes on this site, “the boy in Somerville”) for dinner tonight. It will be fun to hang out and I think we are getting some takeout Mexican. mmm.. guacamole!! :)

I had to buy a monthly pass today! I have always had a car before, so buying a ticket so I can ride the public transportation for a month is an odd concept to me…

Yay, little karmic treats for all those extra train tickets, and working with people with positive energy is super, isn’t it? Hope you had fun dinner with your brother. I love sibling dinner night! =)
