I am the biggest idiot. No really, I am. Starting off this daughter-in-law thing with a bang.
So, I wrote an email out to my parents and Casey’s asking if they can let us know any friends, etc they would like included on our wedding’s guest list. We are attempting to find a site for the wedding sometime next summer and need to know a ballpark figure.
Sounds simple, right? Well, I was fine until Casey’s dad responded with a note stating that he is excited about it and that he will probably be coming alone. So then I didn’t know if he meant that he would not be bringing a date or if he had no other guests he wanted to attend.
So, intending to send a quick note off to Casey, I wrote a little snippy note and ended up sending it to Casey’s DAD though some email fluke.
Just shoot me now.

God, email gaffes are the worst! I was recently working as a teaching assistant and I sent an email containing grades and comments on student presentations (such as “dull and unoriginal thesis”) to the STUDENTS instead of the professor I was working with. I screamed, I paced the apartment crying, I went out at 11pm to buy chamomile tea.
I hope your mess-up was less embarrassing and that you aren’t an obsessive bug-out about it, like I was! In the end, eveyone laughed.

I agree e-mail gaffes are so painful. We had someone who works for the company I work for manage to email the entire firm (we have offices in about 10 places worldwide) telling off his superior. Just one wrong click. Glad everything worked out okay!

Glad it worked out ok… and if you ever need wedding advice, I’m here… it wasn’t that long ago that I was doing the same thing…
And believe me, you’ll “accidentally insult” alot more people along the way.
Just remember: This day is for YOU and CASEY. Don’t let anyone else make you feel bad about your decisions and frustrations.
