Lazy Loafers
Casey and I were just ridiculous yesterday. I did not get up and shower until 5:30pm- yes, I was beautiful. haha It always makes me laugh that Casey thinks I look good when I am nasty and greasy on lazy weekend days… guess it means only good things though. Either that, or the boy needs to get his vision checked.
We watched Secret Window with Johnny Depp- who I love. Great actor. Bad movie. But, Jessica, you may be thinking, I thought that you guys had a strict 7.0 IMDB rating rule?! Yes, yes. it is true. That went out the window, so to speak, when we couldn’t find anything else to rent the other night.
Although we did rent The Office, the British comedy, on the lovely Carrie‘s recommendation. Have you seen this? It is awesome but almost tooo close to life. Everyone has one, or a couple, completely annoying coworkers and this series completely captures that, “WTF?!” inner commentary that normal people indulge in on a daily basis. We stayed up way too late watching the “last” episode on that DVD only to find out that there is a whole other DVD in the box! So more Office fun will be had tonight. Sweet.
Speaking of British comedy series, I absolutely love them. I mean, you can’t get much better than Keeping up Appearances,

Mr. Bean (not the dumb movie!),

and, of course, Monty Python. As a young girl, my dad used to watch Monty Python giggling to himself and my mother would be groaning and saying how dumb it was. Luckily, I took after my dad on this!

!! I love Keeping Up Appearances! Very Dad used to make fun of me, but even he loves to watch it now. Ahhh, it is one of the best by far.

I hear you about the lazy, greasy look. My boyfriend tends to give me compliments on the last days before laundry when I’m wearing my absolute last-choice shirt. On Friday nights when I think I’m looking *hot*, he’s suspiciously quiet…
My vote is definitely for Faulty Towers, and The Office, of course.

Sometimes to crack her up when my best friend calls, I’ll be all : ‘X residence, lady of the hooouse speaking!!’.
Heh.
I love that show!
And Python. I don’t know if it gets better than Python- except maybe the New Year’s Eve episode of Bean. That was beautiful.

I absolutely LO-OVE British comedy. Fawlty Towers is hysterical.
(by the way, thanks for commenting in my blog–I haven’t figured out how to e-mail back from there–and I am wondering if I am going to have to disable my comments in case the drama club at Sam’s moves over to mine)

Dad taught us well, huh? I’m suprised that so many people knew Keeping up Appearances because nobody ever knows it when I bring it up.
Sometimes a woman looks her best in sweatpants. Don’t fight it.

I absolutely LOVE Britcoms! My current fave is “Coupling” followed closely by “Absolutely Fabulous”… BBCAmerica is a wonderful thing! I’ve loved them for years – I introduced my parents and numerous friends to them. Enjoy the Office season 2 – it rocks!
My bf also seems to think that I look great when I look like that too… there’s just something about these guys. *sigh* Who am I to tell him that he needs the vision checked when I get the compliments? LOL!
(Love your blog, btw!)

I don’t understand it. Before noon Sunday I was already getting, “Are you ever going to get dressed today?” from Her. She just doesn’t appreciate the weekend casual look.

Hmm, Jacob never gives me compliments when I’m greasy… he says, “did you wash your hair today?” Harumph.
I saw the Bourne Supremacy this weekend…and normally I HATE seeing movies in the theater, and action movies, but I loved this one. And I love Matt Damon. Yum.

I was really disappointed in Secret Window (I love Johny Depp too) as well. Glad I’m not alone…
