Why must they do this to me?!
The bastards! No! Not Again!
I am completely addicted to Bath & Body Works‘ Body Cream. It is so thick and, yes, creamy. It makes my skin soft and smell nice. (A certain boy tells me so!)
I have one single complaint. I fall in love with a scent and then spend a glorious year or two getting to know it… and then the bastards discontinue my scent! My current love is Rice Flower and Shea. It smells so warm and comforting… like dessert! 
I went into the store the other day and after searching for about 5 minutes on the packed shelves, I finally found my scent. Whew! But why is there such a small section? *tickles of dread go up my spine* I turn to the perky salesgirl and ask her. She replies that, yes, they are discontinuing Rice Flower and Shea. They will not be getting any more in stock so I better buy it when I have the chance.
That is why, my friends, I am now the proud owner of 10 bottles of Rice Flower and Shea Body Cream.
Shaddup.
But I did get this cool bag for free because I spent so much money.
It is a pretty cool bag actually. I always haul a ridiculous amount of toiletry stuff when I go on trips and this is a perfect case. It has a plastic material on the inside so that when your shampoo explodes, it won’t leak into all the other compartments.

I have the same problem at Bath & Body Works. My favorites were seaspray and calming waters. Both were discontinued. I’ve stopped shopping there because of that reason. I don’t want to start liking something else just to find it discontinued.

Oh my god….please tell me you’re kidding! There is a bottle of rice flower and shea lotion sitting on my desk here at work. It is my favorite. I wanted the cream, but all the stores in my area have already stopped carrying it

Oh my God, the same thing happened to me with my face moisturizer at B and B. It’s been almost two years now, and I still haven’t found anything like it. What kind of Board of Directors/Gestapo is running that place?
PS Congrats on your raise! Seriously, do you know how much Mac’n'cheese fifty bucks will buy? Hmmn…I suppose less than it would’ve bought last year. Hey, if that’s the case, I think your pay is really getting docked!

the gap does the same thing to me with fragances! sometimes i have to go to an outlet store just to get what i want! stupid companies! its a conspiracy!

I used to shop at the Body Shop, until they discontinued everything I loved and replaced them with nothing I liked. The last straw was the Pink Grapefruit bath and shower gel. I lucked out and found the last of them on the clearance shelf, so I bought 6 bottles, which lasted a year and a half, by which time I discovered Lush and its lovely goodies!

Holy Crap. I did the same thing a few years ago with a Scent from Victoria Secret. I still have barely touched my stash though. I horde it b/c it seems so sad to wasted it knowing there is no more left in the world. I bought 12 bottles. I feel ya!

Maybe special lotion to wear when The Boyfriend comes back from his trip so that I will smell all yummy and kissable. But I’m happy you got so much of your favorite lotion. Hey…know how ya feel! I hate when my fav. items are discontinued or revamped into a SUPPOSEDLY “new-improved” version.
I hate VS products. The body splashes are sickeningly fruity…ditto for the bath stuff. Ick. I’ve sampled it in their stores and I would never throw money away on that nauseating junk. Maybe it doesn’t work well with me. I love their pajamas & panties, though.
Bath & Body Works rocks! My mom bought me the Rice Flower and Shea shower gel this weekend…I LOVE IT! Subtly sweet feminine scent, like vanilla with flowers (or something like it). Rinses off with no residue, leaves my skin looking pretty, feeling like silk, and it’s simply terrific. I enjoy being a woman. *smiles*
I don’t know where you live, Freckle, but here in Miami, FL you can find a wide variety of your fav. Bath & Body Works stuff. There’s a lot of Rice Flower and Shea shower gels, bubble baths, sprays, & lotions in this one store. I like their stuff because it’s like natural beauty, with a twist. Have you tried Warm Vanilla Sugar? I haven’t, but I might. They have a shower gel and lotion combo called Coco Cabana. I opened the bottle right there in the middle of the store and sniffed…heaven! Nutty & sweet, like coconuts, chocolate, and sugar swirls. Mmmm.
I’m not crazy about Plumeria, or any of the fruit/raspberry scents except Country Apple & Cherry Blossom. Maybe you could do an Internet search to find your discontinued products. Sometimes that helps. You could visit this website: http://www.pamperedwithlove.com.
I know for sure that they carry the Bath & Body Works line and I’ve seen the Rice Flower stuff on there, too. Hope you’re lucky in your quest.

It seems that Bath and Body does this on a regular basis. Rice Flower & Shea Body Lotion is my FAV! After being turned onto this awesome lotion I went to B&B to stock up on a couple bottles only to be told it was “being discontinued”! I was almost too pissed off to buy any! Why give my money to those a##es when they’re taking away my favorite lotion. Any, I only bought one bottle (even though they encouraged me to get the buy 2 get 1 free special-especially since it was being discontinued). And to find out a week or two later when I walked into the SAME B&B that there was a full shelf of my discontinued product! And was then advised that it’s no longer discontinued! WAKE UP LADIES…..IT’S A SALES SCAM! To this day Rice Flower & Shea is still selling at that same B&B.

I had a nostalgic moment from high school tonight which was the scent of Seaspray lotion from B&B. My best friend had it and I loved it; it was a scent they only brought out a couple times a year for some promotion and I stocked up on like 3 bottles at a time. That was a lot for a poor high school student; had it been today when I have a real job I probably would’ve bought every bottle they had! I’m not really into smelly lotions but I love the smell of this I got compliments anytime I wore the lotion. I haven’t seen it since and I googled it tonight and came to this blog. I have only a little bit of lotion left in one of the big bottles and a full smaller bottle tucked away in an attempt to last me the rest of my life! What’s the point of discontinuing something when it seems like so many people like it? They have no problem keeping a lot of the crappy scents (I think Juniper Breeze is disgusting!). Another scent I love is Strawberries and Champagne body lotion from Victoria’s Secret. It also makes my skin super smooth which is a plus to smelling yummy. I started using that 7 years ago in high school and so far that’s still around! They used to have a pink shimmery lotion I had a bottle of but I haven’t seen that since either. Frustrating, isn’t it?
