I have an immense feeling of accomplishment at this moment. Guess how many messages are in my inbox? 15!!!! That is almost a single digit! weeee! It only took me all day but whatever- I am so happy.
It’s been kinda crazy around here- Casey and I have been super busy trying to get Ravelry open to the public. We have been filing paperwork to make us a real company, getting business bank accounts and PO boxes. Casey has a spot for us saved at a data center down the street from us that will be ready in about a month.
(We originally wanted to go with a solar-powered center in New Mexico but they are just not focused on our type of website. We would happily spend more money to go with a green choice, but this was a *lot* more money. Also – if something went wrong it, well, is in New Mexico. You should check them out though for your website, if you have one. Their regular hosting prices are competitive and every little bit helps!)
It is starting to feel real! We are doing this thing! I just feel so overwhelmingly grateful to this wonderful community of ours… thanks so much for helping us push our dream along. (cheese factor = 10)
We also got Ravelry World Headquarters assembled (desks from ikea). Casey’s is not camera ready since he hasn’t put up his stuff on the walls but you can see mine by clicking that link. We even have a white board- fancy!
Casey and I have also been getting out and exercising- we joined the YMCA and have been swimming and doing cardio at the little gym. It has been fun to move after all these months of sitting on our butts working on the Rav.
It has been just awesome having Casey here at home- we work hard and long but we cook together and go places and see movies occasionally. Casey is the one in the house who likes to cook so I have gladly relinquished the reins to him on that… I am still a faster chopper though. 🙂
Help! The veggies are taking over the house!

We also went up to Manchester, NH for the Knitting and Crochet Guild summer show. We ran into some Ravelers (thanks for saying hi, guys!), including Cirilia and Kathy from Webs. I totally forgot to take out my camera until Cirilia reminded me. I think we were both equally excited to see each other!

Casey was giving the guy on his shoulder the evil eye- not Kathy or myself. 🙂
What else? In list form because I am brain dead:
1. I have been laughing my butt off watching the Flight of the Conchords on HBO. Watch that show. Seriously!
2. OH! Anybody wanna scare some muggles? Check this out. Be nice and thoughtful in your comments, if you chose to make one- rise above! (I shook my fist a time or two at the screen reading those comments!! ack!) The Feedburner thing says that 440,000 people read that site.
3. I saw John Edward (his site is down for some reason so wikipedia it is) on the streets of Boston the other day. Casey didn’t stop the scooter. I may never forgive him. I squealed, “That’s John EDWARD!” and tried to jump off but then decided against it. John. Edward. ahh!
4. And lastly, what would a fg post be without some Bob love??
These are from the 4th of July- when we went up to NH to Casey’s mom’s lake house. Apparently, fish are very scary! He was a total nutjob- barking and growling at them. Then, fully recovered a little while later.
